    Default Gym.

I've recently started gym, although I haven't got a clue what to do. Two of my friends go but they have completely different physiques than me. I usually stick to machines but I'd go to free weights except I have no clue on how to posture myself to complete exercises (I can barely name any). I have no clue how to put together a routine or a diet for that fact. Do you have any idea where I start, I'm pretty motivated and committed to this but it seems like I've been thrown in the middle of no-where.
    I'm around 115lbs and 5'6 - 17 years old.

Maybe you can ask the Gym workers for help? At my gym they give you a free tutorial of the machines and advice when you first join.

Yeah machines are easy, free weights is where I'm lacking knowledge.

Ask the staff members on hand or try make friends with other people at the gym and ask them to show you quickly. Or try to pick it up by watching others

Book a routine programme with a Fitness Instructor. I did that, now I have an aim each time I go to the gym.

What? No it doesn't? He could easily make a thread on there and get much better help or read the threads on there under teen bodybuilding...

Most gyms have a personal trainers and would happily give you free advice. Also most weight machines state the muscles they affect and what it is for (well at the gyms I used anyway).
