Default Anyone know anything about gerbils? Medically etc

Hey, well i had 3 gerbils and 2 of them have passed away, the first one to die was poppy, i wasntthere atthe time she had been put down, i was out of town and my mother told me the vet said it was some kind of tumor in her stomach? The second one to go was Spiffy, i was in Marmaris when this happened and my brother found her dead in the cage, now the third one is starting to go, i imagine that shes lonely, and quite possibly traumatised from seeing spiffy dead in the cage, and losing poppy, but Ruby has a growth coming out of her stomach, as if she had a bellybutton, it looks like raw flesh.

any have any ideas what this is? I will be taking her to the vet at about 5pm as i have no money to pay the vet expenses if she was to be put down.

MDMA got you feeling like a champion.

Ask on yahoo answers! It's an excellent website. You'll likely get a vet replying and they'll have a much better idea than we will.

^ This, If you're close to a veterinary centre, you might be able to ask there though some ask for pay for their advice. It's worth asking around Google and Yahoo! though

I took her upto the vets at around half 4, just got a taxi up and asked to stop at my mums work to pick up money if there was a cost, she had a tumor, in the exact same place as my first one that died had, so my conclusion is that pets at home are terrible for animals if 2/3 gerbils i bought had tumors. maybe spiffy had one too, my brother never checked.

    but rip gerbils ):
