Default Laptop Sound > LCD TV?

Hi, Mr.Noob-Techie is back again with another post in need of help!

Last week, I set my Laptop up to my new LCD TV with a VGA cable

Now my next aim is to get the sound to play on my TV instead of my laptop when playing music and general.

    So what do I need?

much appreciate your help and +rep given as always cos im so damn cool.

Your TV needs an Audio in though, but it should have one

Also you can get far cheaper ones, thats just an example, but its a decent cable

    Thanks for your post
I dont think it would be neccesary to have a 3.5m cable when the distance from my laptop to the tv is about a metre away haha so I'll still look for more now that I know what to look for. Where could I find a cheaper one (not that £5.20 is dear but it's good to save even a penny!)
