Microsoft points annoying..

Okay, so I bought a 4200 MS point code from Virgin Megastore. On the package it says "Points cards purchased outside of Europe may not be redeemed against European accounts." Meaning the code is only valid for non-EU accounts if purchased outside of the EU?

So basically I have a US account and it's telling me the code is invalid. I've checked and retyped the code a million times, it just won't accept it. Does anyone know what the hell is going on?

and yes.. I did buy the code outside of the EU.


P.S. will Virgin refund me?

nvm, i'll just go and refund the product. I'll accuse them of lying about the features of the product they've sold me. This is clearly a european code.
