Default Windows Vista - Need Help!

    Hey everyone.

I'm normally good with computers but am stumped on this one. I have an HP Pavilion Media Computer with Windows Vista 64 Bit. It has a intel core 2 Quad processor.

When I go to start it up I get the whole "Windows could not start properly. This can be due to errors in the system files" Then I have to choose whether to run System Repair or not. Whenever I choose both of them, I am eventually taken to a solid blue screen. No errors, no messages, no nothing. Just a solid blue screen.

    Any help??

Did it come with any restoration disks? Sometimes consumer computers have a hidden partition with the full OS backed up but need a disk to restore it from there.

How long have you had it, and how long has it been doing this?

This could be hardware, or software. Software is most likely so if you restore your computer (you will lose all files) and it continues doing it, contact HP as it's hardware.
