I try minimise the community boards for example and it doesn't remember, happens in all browsers.

I have a feeling this is a vbulletin 4 glitch that never got fixed, but James will be able to shed more light.

As Oli said, it's a persistent bug we've had since we upgraded that seems to affect a small group of people. Have you tried the generic clearing cookies / cache?
