Default Do you know any fallen soldiers?

As the title states: Do you know any fallen soldiers? My uncle died on the 17th at around 2 am in the morning. Sergeant David Monkhouse was my uncle I am in so much shock about it and i am sad but I have to live on. What happened to you when you found out about one of your loved ones being killed in iraq/afghanistan?

My uncle comes through Wooten Basset on Thursday.

    that's awful

i don't know him personally, but i do know of a soldier who recently died over the weekend from my college town of halesowen who came home today. the saddest thing is he was in the local paper (the birmingham mail) on friday saying how scared he was and how the locals don't want them there.
    very sad news.

RIP to your uncle, and much respect to him. I am terribly sorry for your loss.

I know / knew of a couple of soldiers who have died in both Afghanistan and Iraq, mainly through knowing other members of their regiment.
