What does your router have to do with your operating system?

To others: I think the full message is "the capability of this network adapter does not meet the requirements of this network"

Anyhow, it might just be that your friend's wireless card isn't windows 7 compatible - Start -> Control Panel -> System & Security -> Device manager

Under "network adapters", are there any items with a red or yellow icon?

I wouldn't say the router is not compatible with the OS, I've never even heard of that issue before. But if they are using wireless cards and what not, then drivers could be an issue.

right, i've installed drivers from a disk, im not sure if they were actually his proper drivers, but its still not working, is it just plainly that his wireless adapter is not compatible with W7?
