okay, i have an iphone 3G and i downloaded the new OS that comes with the iphone 4, and some of the features wont work for me. apparently you can set backgrounds now? i am not able to. and also, you can switch from one task to another task without ending the program? i am also unable to do that.
anyone else had this/has this and can help?

You're not meant to have them with iPhone 3G. iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 only

It's a 3G. 8GB 3GS is fairly new, and would be able to perform the features mentioned above

Then if it wasnt bought recently, its gonna be a 3G. They only started making the 8GB 3GS (due to the iPhone 4)
If the phone is jailbroken, then these things can be activated - but from what I have heard, they slow the phone up a lot.

Simple answer as you've already read, it's not compatible with the 3G models.
