HTML 5's Local Storage/contenteditable to simplify content management

This is just something I've been pondering myself. With the release of HTML 5's local storage and the use of the contenteditable attribute... imagine how easy news editors can update/edit their articles? Imagine how easy it could be to have a debug mode where the admins of a site had a contenteditable attribute set to every single text field in the web page, making content updates 100x easier?

Does anyone think they'll be making anything like this to simplify their content management?

Wordpress will hopefully jump on it and take advantage.
