Recent occurrences.

Hey guys. I know most of you might think this is silly, and I thought it was silly upon first hearing about it but after the recent natural disasters has your opinion to the 2012 apocolypse changed? I just watched this video: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...thers-sky.html and it's altered my opinion a fair bit. After the floods in Pakistan and the earthquakes that have happened etc, it's sort of 'suspicious' that all this stuff is happening. Some would say it's a build up.

Anyway, I suppose what I'm getting at is all the natural disasters of this year are starting to make me wonder if '2012' could actually be true. In some instances I think ''nah, it's ********, just another one of them things.'' But after all this I'm starting to get a bit sceptical. I'm in 2 minds tbh! But I sway more to ''it's ********, and just a coincidence.''

How about you lot? lol

I kinda agree with you, I also think it could be a load of **** but I remember reading somewhere, that its not the END of the world, its a POSSIBILITY because of some plates that will crash underneath the atmosphere which will cause tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods all at the same time, and lots of professors have backed his saying its a possibility and if they do crash, that'll be the end.

I think there's been three earthquakes in the early stages of this year and with the floods and all, I think it could be a build up to 2012. I honestly would like to see the day when the World ends (as depressing and morbid as that sounds), whether it would be related to climate change, natural disasters, meteor strikes or even the Sun getting closer to the Earth (like the film Knowing).

Some things just happen, some are coincidental and also things have a purpose.

I honestly think if we experience more Natural Disasters - Earthquakes, Tsunami's etc in the next year or so then I will keep my eyes open when the 21st December 2012 comes along.

I don't think it will be the end even if these plates crash. I mean if my area flooded I will be quite safe as im up a hill so alot of it will just go down so.
But I don't think it'll happen quite simply, scientists are generally wrong imo unless they have tested it. And besides, who can ever guess the exact day.

Also nothing ever ends. If all creatures were wiped out during the supposed commet that hit during the dinosaurs then I dont think wed be here so there will always be survivers.

Very true guys! Another thing is that all the past dates that were given for the 'end of the world' were never taken seriously but there's been a lot of discussion and controversy over this one particular date which just adds to how freakishly possible it could be. I'll continue with discussing this further tomorrow, right now I have to sleep.

I only think there was more discussion and controversy over this one because of all the films we've been seeing on the subject recently, aswell as global warming. It becomes a more and more realistic possibility to some people, which means more people take it seriously leading to more controversy.

I however dont think it will. Just cant see it happening, especially it being predicted that far back.

I'm kinda iffy about 2012. I mean, the world could end at any possible time like right now, or now, or now yeah you get the point, but we wouldn't even know because we'd just die. If the world is going to end then there is little we can do about it because of the amount of things that are supposed to happen in 2012. We have our own beliefs but I know that if the world ends, it won't be nature to blame... there's still nothing we can change though.

you guys do realize that earthquakes, floods, landslides, and virtually all other types of natural disasters have been happening on earth for billions of years right? as a matter of fact as time goes on there have been less earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and even meteors than there were in the past. the only reason why it may seem like there are more horrible disasters than there were in the past is because the world is far more populated thus you can be sure that any natural disaster is going to hit human presence, likely lots of it, thus it will be documented/covered by media.

Which is why in most instances I'm like ''2012 is aload of ********.'' After reading up on it more, I'm beginning to think I was probably a bit silly for even assuming that this coud be ''a build up.'' LOL. It's only the end of the Mayan calender and I don't think that something predicted so many years ago could be accurate.

that's really silly :S i don't even see how you think all of these things are happening more all at once than usual.
things like these seem to be happening all the time, all over the place.
the world will not end in 2012.
