How often do you replace your PC/Laptop?

How many years of use do you usually get out of your computers/laptops before buying new ones?

I usually have mine for about 3 or 4 years before they get to the point that they need replacing. I never really have to replace mine because they get outdated, mine tend to die from either the dust in my house (very old house) or because I haven't looked after them well cosmetically and eventually internally after all the drops and bangs. I have started to be much more careful with my computer now though.

we had our main pc for like.. 2002 to 2009 so 7 years and then it got so bad we got a new one in 2009 and still have that one
got a laptop in 2005, got a new one in 2009.
now i have a pc i recently bought but not because the laptop broke completely, its just really slow so i wanted something better

ive had this laptop for 2 years , im getting a new one in november , so i would say 2 years

Normally around 3 years
Ive only had my current one for 2 years and im gonna replace it very soon

Every 9-10 months really.

Usually less than a year.

However, my iMac I got in 2008 and still have it now and use it as my main machine. It works just as fast and well as it did the day I bought it and I don't plan on replacing it any time soon

Never. I perpetually upgrade it whenever it gets to slow to play the latest games.

Whenever mine doesn't do what I need it to do quickly. Any other reason for replacing it (unless it doesn't work) is a complete waste of money.
