College days - But hoilday this friday...

I expected college to start on 6th of September.

Anyways, I got college tester day or w.e and enrollment on thursday. I then have 1,2,3 of September for introduction days. I cannot attend the September days As I come back on the 4th from my hoilday.

Do you think college will mind? I only just got the dates today (typical..)

And what is enrollment anyways? It says it only around two hours long..?

If you explain to them when you enrol im sure they wont mind!
Enrolment is when you go to the college and say that you definitely want to attend the college in September or not and get yourself onto the courses that you want to do.

each college varies.
my college has had preliminary enrollment on results day which is to check if you are eligble for your courses. then they have induction day which is for things like, meeting your lectureres, getting ur id card and that sort of thing.
Just make sure u contact them, don't take for granted that you will have a place cause you probably wont.

I had my enrolment day today, all they had to do was check your GCSE results. Then they gave me a few more sheets and a portfolio, they then took that when they had to photocopy sheets for legal purposes. And I had to get my student ID done.

However, if you can go to the enrolment day then I think that would be fine because then they can't give your place away if you don't attend the introduction days. However, you may not know your way around the college, or know where everything is, but I'm sure they will just help you out and give you a quick refresh. At the end of the day, it's your holiday and I know you are suppose to do it outside of school times but if you only just got the dates then there isn't much you can do about it!

Hi all, Its been sorted out today. I had my taster day or w.e which was alright. Met some people and I already know where everything is at college as I visited there quite a bit. I have enrollment tomorrow. I got the required GCSE's grades as I was given a conditional offer of getting 4C's. Im assuming I have my photo ID tomorrow and start on the 6th. I have told college and the bloke said it doesn't matter.

I'm glad you've sorted everything out and I didnt get my photo ID until I actually started the college so you might get it on the first day you go back!
