    Default Outlook - How to get rid of 'email folders'

    Is it cos I set it as IMAP or SMTP?




    I just want a Outlook data file

    Well the folders listed under the GMail account, as you're most likely hooked upto Google via IMAP are on Google's server and you can change those at gmail.com.

    You shouldn't delete the Junk E-mail folder built into Outlook because it's filtering mail ontop of Google's email filter.

    Stop Outlook from checking for Spam emails, Google does a good enough job already; http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc179183.aspx

    Meh, whatever floats your boat I guess Tom. I let Apple Mail (surprised it's not iMail by now) filter my mail, fortunately hiccups are rare

    I just changed it too pop rather than imap. Working perfectly now and will make a new thread in about 2 months time (doubt it..) for help

    I'm glad you have it working but I didn't think pop had push email--I like getting instantly told I have new mail
