Default Share internet over ethernet cable?

    Hello,

I have recently come to have possession of a old computer and well I don't want to spend anything on it... I am wondering if I could wire with a ethernet cable my normal computer with the internet connection to the other one.... I only really want to use internet and use Synergy.... can this be done? Both PC's are on Vista....

    Thanks... Jamie

Just connect an ethernet cable between the two, then on the one with internet access go into your network settings, highlight the two connections, right click one of them and select 'Bridge'.

Synergy is a godsend. I use it on the Mac and PC all day
