    Got a laptop here, I want to reinstall it with XP or vista or anything thats windows..

    When I boot into CD, it makes this sound

    Does it do it when you boot up normal? If it does a continuous beep is a sign of faulty RAM, check they are all seated correctly etccccc

    Just booting up to a CD

    Having problems trying to reformat this...I was thinking more of a faulty dvd disk drive but :/

    Does the DVD drive work okay when you're using the computer as normal? Bit odd that you get a continuous beep like that, it's normally a sign of faulty RAM . Maybe some others can shed some light on the situation

    Continuous Beep - No Power, Loose Card, or Short.
