Looks nice, but thats seems to be as far as it goes.

Everything looks different, the text i'm currently typing even looks different. Text on facebook now isn't as sharp either.
Also now that it supposedly uses better css rules than before it is a pain in the arse for coders. This means that it will work like FireFox and other browsers but still read any <!--IF IE> tags which will make it look wrong.

Have you got it? If so how has your experience with it been so far?

I know it's still in beta, but by this time I doubt they'll be changing the way it reads HTML/CSS before the final release.

Tried to download it but it told me I didn't have a plug-in or something. However, after using IE all my life I've finally made the change to FF and it's much, much better

Not sure if its just me, but when I went to load pages it did nothing, then just flashes up suddenly - not as fast as I hoped.

I have gone from IE, to FF, to Safari, back to FF, to Opera, to FF, to Safari, now finally Chrome. The speed is SO much better imo.

I wouldn't use IE as a browser of choice, however it's still the most popular and a right pain to code for :@

No. I'm saying that if it's different to past IE code then they shouldn't make it read the IF IE tags which were used for the past decade (maybe a little less than that) to differentiate between browsers. Basically now its reading stuff that is outdated, so maybe they should change the IF code to IF IE9 and tell it to ignore the IF IE tag. Much simpler for microsoft to do that than for millions of websites needing to be adapted for it.

I just proved all of your points wrong so congratulations, your "pointing out" of flaws is flawed. And I don't think IE9 is a perfect browser, it has a distinct lack of community addons. Other than that it's pretty damn nifty. And you're ridiculously biased against IE. Congratulations.

Most websites worth visiting already use conditional IE tags, HxF is one of them (View source).
