    Smile iPod Touch 4G

    (4th Generation).

I currently have an iPod Touch 2G (8GB) but now want to get a 4G one. I was going to get the 8GB model but I've heard of how it will get used up very quickly. I would get a 16GB model but of course, you can't! So it's either 8GB (£189) or 32GB (£149). What do you think I should do? Personally I think if I had to choose now, it'd be the 32GB model.

The 4th gen is really great. I love mine!

I have an 8GB and it really depends how you're going to use it. If you're a big user of music at home, use Spotify and just stream it over the WiFi and just set a few playlists offline for outdoor use. Do you watch video on it when you're out of WiFi? 8GB is enough for me but really to determine this for you we need to know how you use your iPod.

I thought it was the 3G? Anyway it really depends what you're going to use it for as mb-group has said. If you think you think you're going to use up 8gb pretty quick then look at getting the 32gb model but also, think is it worth the extra £60 pound and are you going to use it?

    It's the 4th gen now.

    1st Gen - Initial release
    2nd Gen - New design
3rd Gen - Updates internal components
    4th Gen - Camera + thinner design

Well, after looking up on the internet on some reviews, I found that on the 8GB model, you'll only get around 5-6GB because the iOS uses up quite a bit. On my current iPod, I've used up just under 4GB but with the camera and HD video recording, I'll most likely end up using up the full capacity, so I probably will get the 32GB.

I noticed that too, my iOS on the iPad takes up roughly 2GB.
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.
