When I'm on skype or anything my mic makes this buzzing noise and it annoys the hell out of the people I speak with. Anyone know how to fix it?

Could be just a faulty mic?

Well it was working fine and I went into a new call and it just started buzzing. It's happened before and I get it to stop just by fiddling with things on the pc but I can't find what it was and I have no idea what it's called.

    Turn down the boost/volume.
But what i've noticed is that too much boost makes your mic do that

It may happen because your microphone doesnt have noise cancellation?
It basically picks up all the backround noise and stuff and has a buzzing sound.

I used to have the same problem with my mic.

To turn noise cancellation on, if you use realtek drivers then you should be able to open the CP and go to settings and tick on noise cancellation. If you dont use realtek then go to control panel and look through your mic's preferences and you should be able to add effects to it such as boost/noise cancellation, just tick it .
