Just looking at this article. Got a few spot on i think;

Glee (nobody would shut up about it when it was on)
Plan B (his new album DoSB)
Justin Bieber
and Ellie Goulding

It was a good prediction by BBC. Even though, everybody always knew Glee was going to be a success in the UK, it was a big hit in the states.

The rest of the acts however as you mentioned ^^
have really taken off during the year.

Yeah, I think the BBC did quiet well here. Even though it was actually Capital FM who has originally said that Ellie Goulding was one to watch!! I love most of those apart from Glee - I can only watch that if I am in a really like good mood otherwise it just annoys me! x] x

i love the bbc sound of lists, i cant wait for the 2011 one. but in 2009 i remember they kind of messed up a bit by putting little boots no.1, who i love a lot and did ok but not as well as lady gaga that came like 16th or something...
