How long does it take you to establish if you like someone?

i normally don't get on with ~good looking people~ they tend to be boring + stupid (can't have everything like me:S)
i just let people come to me or try get on with everyone. sometimes i think "i'll hate them" then end up being completely wrong so...

i think i'm really specific in what i like. if they start a convo with hiii whats ur name i wont like em. best people at uni we've just laughed at the same thing or something. although saying this i have just stopped talking to someone (ok i met them on ll) because they live a hour and half away. not worth it.
