Default Am I right to ignore them?

    G'day ;D

I started talking to this person recently, and we used to text and talk basically all day and all night and everything was rather spiffy. Then they met somebody else and stopped talking to me basically and put all their attention on them, and now they're attempting to talk to me but i'm ignoring them.

Am I being a child or am I right for ignoring them for not wanting a half assed conversation because that other person isn't online or whatever?

I've never posted a problem in here, I feel so dorky.

See that's what I thought, and it's not harsh, they're a douche anyway

Yeah, i'm not that bothered, but it just annoys me that cause they've got a new person, that they're like CYA.

I couldn't have said it any better. Kind of like a buffer for when their social life starts to suffer.

BIG thank you to the graphics department for making this banner. I LOVE IT!

Usually a relationship does take your time away from certain things you used to do before. I wouldn't worry about it. At least they are trying to fit their friends still into their life. If people in my sisters life or my life acted like that as soon as I got a boyfriend then I guess everyone would be ignoring us. In my opinion I think its childish to act that way, how would you like it when you get a relationship and find your time with other friends go downhill and they they ignore you.... Wouldn't you feel bad? All you were doing was hanging out with the one you love and you get punished for it by being ignored by your friends?

I agree with all comments here.. There's two ways you can deal with it, either ignore them or talk to them..

And that option is totally down to you.. I don't think we can say if it is childish or not as we don't know the exact details, if she has ignored you completly, like litterally blanked you then think about what you thought of her? Do you want her thinking the same about you? But then do you want her feeling like she can just talk to you when ever she is bored and has time to?

    Its a tricky one..

No offence dude but how is your post remotely helpful? You've simply spelt out the two quite obvious options and the fact he has a choice..?

I'd probably talk to them if it made me happy tbh, you've nothing to gain from ignoring someone but you could enjoy a bit of conversation and attention if you talk to them again.
