burglar alarms

At the time of righting this, my ******* alarm went off..

Woke me up, then just after my dad and I checked the house, we went to bed. Lying in my bed, through my curtains it was bright. My security light had lit up.

Checked the house again, nothing. Now I cannot ******* sleep, and I have an exam later. Oh what a day.

Do you have a burglar alarm, does it ever go off on a "false call"??

No, but currently central/western scotland is being absolutely blown about. severe gales and hail/rain...been this was for like 3 days.
four car alarms have went off several times!

Atm I might prefer that! I hate that I can't think of a logical reason for it to go off, then a security light, light up about a minute after.

Whereas with gails etc at least I could put a reason for it going off.

yeah theyre always going off near me.
they all seem to be false aswell since we hear nothing more about it
probably students coming home drunk and forgetting about them or just not knowing how to use them

Got the motion sensors etc in most rooms / walkways. Has never gone off at night or when we've not been there though.

Mine has gone off twice in about five years at night, and according to a neighbour when we have been on holiday.
