Designing a Promotional Xmas Advertisement for a Kids Centre?

My boss had a staff meeting with us all today and asked if we could develop a Christmas Poster advertising two events - Twas A Night Before Christmas & Tea With Santa. It has to be done on A1, A2 and A3 sized sheets.

I'm just wondering if you have any ideas for some layouts?

Maybe I could do something Christmasy with the Logo

A kid sat on Santa's lap maybe?
Look at seasonal fonts online e.g. dafont maybe.
Also, like christmas items like presents etc.

Or you could go for the humerous side, Santa stuck behind a small table, his knees either tucked up or his belly over flowing over the table.

I like some of them ideas. I could make a funny side to it, at the end of the day it's all about what kids like. But from an adults point of view, Santa stuck behind a table kinda ruins the idea of the event.
