i made the move today and asked this girl would you like to come the cinemas and pizzzzza hut with me when you're free. she accepted. now im bricking it. i hate first dates. i think they're so awkward. ive been texting this girl for about 2 months now and we have quite a lot in common and people say we'd make a good couple but we're both shy and we've hardly spoke in person, so you just get that awkward feeling written all over it!

how can i make it so i enjoy it and she enjoys it and we can get married in the future?

First Dates don't have to be awkward but if you go in thinking it will be awkward. Just act relaxed and it will all be fine.

i planned pizza hut first, eat as much as she can, then watch a film at about half 7 so she can fall asleep on me ;L

For my first time i felt it was best to try and not think of it as a first date and that seemed to work for me. You say you have lots in common so you have excellent sources for conversation.

For my first time I bearly knew the girl. So realy most of the time i just got to know her better.

That would work for some but not for others, lol i know a few guys that if they truly acted like themselves during first dates they would never get girls.
