Well after many complaints we have decided to make amendments to the charity poll.
Cancer Research UK, RSPCA, Help for Heroes and Macmillan Cancer Trust have been removed from the poll as they were all supported in the previous charity fundraiser.
This leaves behind the following smaller charities all which could do with some extra donations this Christmas.
- Shelter
- Great Ormond Street Hospital
- National Deaf Childrens Society
- Make a wish foundation
- Operation Christmas Child
We have also hidden the results from public view until the poll has closed, we believe that some of the votes cast may have been placed by people who are unsure and have voted for the majority or the minority as oppose to taking the time to decide for themselves.
Please cast your votes again for the charity you feel deserves our attention this year. We hope you can understand the reasons behind our changes.
2011 Changes
To assist in diversifying the charities next year Habbox will be preselecting the finalists for the public poll. We will be keeping an eye out for charities we feel could do with our support at Christmas all year round and then in November allow the community to choose the winner. This way we will be able to vote on charities that make a difference all over the world.
