    Default Mobile Broadband Dongle.

I'm moving home soon and there is a new BT line being installed. I'm moving my other internet provider over (tried to do it simultaneously with a SIM, but since there is no line in the house this cant be done). I'll be without internet for 2 weeks roughly until my provider can install their gear on the new BT line. So I was wondering can someone recommend me a PAYG Mobile Dongle that I could use for 2 weeks. I want the speed to be as fast as possible. I'd also like a good size bandwidth if not unlimited for the best price. Many thanks.

Internet access for 90 days, then if you continue using it you pay per day.

    £40 one off fee

I was without internet for a week in the summer and I resorted to T-Mobile. I bought the USB Stick 610 found here: http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/mobil...tick-610-payg/

It's pay as you go, which is better because there's no long term contracts or anything you're binded to.

It's £20 with £10 top-up and you basically use £2 of your credit everyday you use it, BUT, T-Mobile had an offer on where you buy a day and get a whole month, I don't know if it's still valid.

The only reason I chose T-Mobile is because if you go over your 1G of fair usage, they'll only slow down your internet, not cut you off, so you'll never be without internet.

    I highly recommend T-Mobile!

That looks good and with unlimited browsing and potential 7.2mbps speeds I could tether this to my xbox?

I guess it depends what you will use it for.

2gb wouldn't be too bad for two weeks? Remember they don't charge any extra - they simply reduce the speed.

No chance you could use it with your Xbox - the ping would be insane and so would the lag because of this.

I can back up Milestone on this. Even though it says 2GB, they will never charge you more or cut you off.

Yeah you could tether to an Xbox 360, whether or not it'd be any good but it's certainly possible.

Just follow this guide like you would with wifi; http://www.habboxforum.com/showthrea...=436983&page=1

Except you'd bridge the dongle and ethernet instead of wifi and ethernet.

Have you looked into tethering your phone to your PC? If you've got a decent phone with 3G or HSPDA coverage then you've effectively already got the dongle. Post what phone you've got, what network you're with and what contract you're on (if any) and I can look into it for you.
Edit: If you've an iPhone, can't you just plug it in and turn on internet tethering, they'll be some additional cost but it'll be cheaper in the long run?
