    So what's the difference? My sister wants one, she has those Singstar games for PS2, is the PS3 backwards compatible?

    Only the first PS3s are compatible with PS2s, all are compatible with PS1s. That and a few extra things (USBs, touch sensitive buttons) make them different. And general design of course.

    May aswell just buy the Slim version now, no, it won't be able to play PS2 games.
