I've got one, and it's good if all you want to do is social networking and emails, but for anything else it's a bit rubbish. The apps are pretty bad and as it hasn't got 3G, internet is pretty slow if you're not connected to wi-fi. The camera's fine if all you want to do is take pictures of your mates in good lighting, but because it doesn't have a flash/light the night pictures are terrible. The size of it is ok, fits in pockets fine. The music player and calender are quite good. Both the calender and address book put in information from your facebook which is quite cool. The speakers are quite loud as well, which is good.

Basically, if you just wanna get in on the blackberry hype, you know a fair few people who have one and you just mainly want it for social networking and bbm'ing then get one, but if you want a genuinely good phone I'd go android/htc, as they're generally in the same sort of price bracket.

I have one it is pretty good.

It is very easy to navigate, has plenty of good features, battery charge lasts a nice time, speakers are incredible, keyboard is very easy to use, social networking applications are good.

The cons for my curve are that it sometimes can freeze for long periods of time, the camera is low quality (no flash) and the shiny stickers came off the back.
It's quite a fragile phone mine has many scratches but I'd recommend it if you can't afford a Bold (guessing you are after a blackberry specifically). It's a nice handy phone.

I completely disagree with battery life haha, I pretty much have to charge mine every night because I use it for about an hour of music at most a day.

quality of pictures is okayish if you're in broad daylight:

    pretty awful at night:

(just took off my facebook aha)

The quality of sound is generally ok, especially calls. If you're gonna listen to music on it though, I'd suggest you get some other headphones than the blackberry ones

Are you looking for a normal phone or a smartphone? If you're getting this on a smartphone plan it's a colossal waste of money.

    personally I wouldn't recommend them.
They're the lowest spec blackberry on the market, have many known software issues (especially when it's 4.7.1 edition of their software), their keys are prone to sticking and/or falling off and all around they don't feel very versatile in the kind. They feel rather tacky.

Cons: great internet usage for being only 2G, they have blackberry messenger which is good if you know many friends whom have a blackberry.

I would generally not recommend it though.

I have had the Curve Bold2 and Storm2, I personally would go for the Bold it may be more but well worth it.

I've got the older C8900 and I have had it for 18 months now. I've never experienced keys falling off or anything like it. The camera isn't that bad and has a flash so that's great. It's a pretty good phone and by the sounds of what you're going to be using it for it should work well for you .

a bb is perfect for what you want to do.
any one will do you a decent job.
the only cons od the curve is the lack of flash and 3G.
ooooooo saying that the latest curve has 3G, and is compatible with bb os6, but still doesn't have flash. ;[
