It lacks shading, the background doesn't do it any favours imo.
It looks a bit like an invert.
What would be better is if you stuck to one colour instead of making a rainbow one, but it is your first and at least you know what to do.

colours don't go, background doesn't make the image any better, no shading.
next time save as .png
