It can only really be used to be rude to other people on the forum, no reason to have it filtered though :/

Its just that though, it may not be the most offensive thing to say, but it still could be offensive. You can't really use it unless you're calling someone else a name.

To be fair, there isn't half as many "fights" on the forum as there were a couple of years ago. I remember when I first joined, there were usually disagreements and insults in every thread. I rarely see it these days?

If you call someone a "dumb ass" under most circumstances it will be treated as rude and removed anyway. it's most often used as one word "*******" and the only time you would need to use that word really would be to use against someone as an insult.

I don't think it's a major flaw, and having it filtered isn't going to harm anything. Dumb on its own is used in many other contexts, ass on it's own could also be used on other contexts, by placing them together it's a more commonly used insult and would be treated as rude anyway. Seeing the word Dumbass around the forum would just look negative anyway where we dont want to encourage such a negative vibe with insults being thrown around etc. Along with lots of other words used as insults there just isn't much need for it to be unfiltered.

Yeah but say you're commenting on something like I dunno "LOL Martin fell over at Tesco. What a dumb ass " it's not always negative. It could be jokey. I don't see why I can't be unfiltered :p
