Just a wild suggestion, but why doesn't Habbox Forum use iFrames, like the whole forum display could be an iFrame and the header / title bit, just the main page. etc

Because iFrames are ugly and old.

If they did it properly you wouldn't really notice the difference, instead of having the load the static header everytime?

Because the templates don't work that way and the header contains all the calls for PMs, logging in and such. It would simply be silly!

I personally don't think it would work very well for the forum .

habbox.com used to use iFrames back in the old days.

To do so, would involve scrapping the vBulletin board and just recoding the whole thing as there wouldn't be a nice way of modifying it so it could do so. Which for obvious reasons we are not really willing to do so.

    Thanks for the feedback.

EDIT: We do heavily cache our sites to help reduce page load on static content.
