    Default Is there a...

    Habbox Awards?

NOT staff Awards...just awards in general - ie; awards voted for by the fans/users, for the fans/users?

If there isn't there should be, I think it would be nice to recognize those who are dedicated to habbox

there could be categories such as:

    Biggest Donator
    Forum Spammer
    as well as..

    Hottest Male
    Hottest Female
    Richest

ect. There could be numerous categories. But yeah as I said, I don't know if there is this kind of thing happening, but if there isn't, there should be.

Used to happen just arranged by members but it's always just been a popularity competition really and it's already easy enough to see who the popular members are

Agreed with above, would be nice but i think the same characters would always win, and often pick up most of the awards.

Don't think there would be anything stopping users from arranging it themselves though.

Although it seems like a nice idea, I don't really think it would work very well . Mainly for the reasons stated above, particularly popularity.

Yes that is true, but then the staff awards is pretty much a popularity vote and they bother to do it?

I think maybe they could do it how the staff awards are done - people get nominated then the General management decide for the "bigger" awards like "Most Dedicated Fan" "Listener of the year" ect. but for just fun ones like "sexiest male" & "sexiest female" let it go to the public vote?

Sounds good in theory, but I don't think it would work.

Hottest Female and Male would just be a epic popularity contest to see how many people you can recruit quickly. Donator, might be nice to see but not a whole awards ceremony.

The staff awards isn't a popularity contest as much as General Management make the final descisions on who wins. Roxy and I did have an idea for official Habbox awards, but that is for the new year!

Hmm, as I said - people could nominate, then as in the staff awards, the General Management could chose who they think is most suitable? Or maybe some things like "Best rare values contributor" the rare values could do, "best listener" Radio could do, "best events participator" events could do "best debater" Dan could do ect. ect.

you get my drift? it doesn't have to be a popularity vote, although I can see why people say it will end up like that, it doesn't have to be if the nominations are done by the fans, but the actual winners chosen by staff.

Oh and thanks Oli, yeah I didn't make that clear and hence why I added we can do it how you do the staff awards !

    Sounds good

Usually there's the 56ers awards in the design & dev section every year, pretty sure that users could arrange it themselves.
