I've seen a bunch of people trading starter furni.....
hows that possible? Is it a scam?

This is not a scam. There are some Starter Furniture which can be traded.

Before Hello furni came into the catalog, there were starter furni already on the hotel, that wasn't the furni given as a gift but actual starter furni.
Then hello furni came into place, and they were not tradeable. However, all the furni before that occurred was still tradeable. It is not a scam, .

Yeah some starter furni is tradeae and I heard it's quite expensive.

Well a lot of people put it in the marketplace for 10100 credits. However, I doubt hardly anyone would pay that much for it. Usually they sell for about 2-3 credits I think. .
