Puffin's Question - How did you get into photography and what kind of camera do you use? Sent in by JasonS,
(Warning: this will be a long response!) I have always loved photography, both taking pictures and looking at them. Capturing a moment in time is just spellbinding to me! Since I inherited a point-and-shoot camera at the age of 9, I've been hooked. I'd take obscene amounts of photos of my friends and trees and dogs and skies, and since this was pre-digital (no, I am not THAT old!) it took its toll on my parents' wallets For the last five years, I've used D-SLRs, and I always wear my cameras out completely (down to it not having any protective rubber left anywhere), but I always thought that unless you can bring your camera with you in your purse, it's not worth it. Right now I use a Canon 7D (with my go-to lens, the Canon 50mm 1.4). It was on my wish list since before it was released, and I LOVE it! However, if you are just getting into photography, it doesn't matter what camera you use... just capture the moments in your own unique way!

Blue! Whenever I need a pick-me-up I ALWAYS paint my toe nails blue. It makes me smile for some weird reason
