    It's out in 2 Weeks.

Just wondering if I should watch the first Tron? Is Tron Legacy a direct sequel?

(Thread mainly aimed at Misawa, but other replies welcome).

Yes, it's a sequel, but I imagine it's been made, seeing as it's 28 years later, to cater for people who haven't seen the original, so you can probably go and watch it without. The original, as far as I can remember, is pretty throwaway, so not watching it might be a good thing. I can't say anything else as the review embargo breaks tomorrow at 10pm.

I'm sure I've seen the 'Tron' made in the 80's, the guy gets sucked into a computer and the whole thing was a bit embarrassing. This was years ago and from memory - it might not have been as bad as I remember it to be. Groundbreaking for its time I'm sure.

Besides, the new one looks dire.

I have seen it advertised lots but i don't think i will go to see it. It doesn't appeal to me, this is just my opinion of the advertisements though.
