Hey,

I have had points now since a month after I passed and I came to renew my insuance other day and was thinking I am going have to swop because a 18 year old with points won't be cheap! But for some reason me having speeding points did not rise it... But when I was looking at other quotes rised it to about 8K... Anyone else have points and has it cost you more?

Some insurers don't increase your premiums until 6 points.

Your premium will not increase until you renew it, in most cases. My insurance now with 3 points and a ban is cheaper than last year when I had neither of those things. Shop around.
