Has anyone else had something like this happen to them?

You lose touch with the person who you had some of the best times of your life with, and even after trying hard to stay in touch they turn around and say "I don't really know you any more". Heartbreaking. (This was face to face, not even over email)

Happened to me so much, happening to me right now in fact. Just how it goes I guess, I'm not losing sleep over it.

not really no aha, even though I think I've been the one saying it.

Pretty much throughout my life I've kept the same friends so not really a problem haha

oh god I almost had to do it to someone, instead I took the chickens way out and just ignored him. Hate him now for various reasons. It's not a strong hate mind you though.

But I never had it happen to me, I met with this guy not long ago who I hadn't seen for 7 years and we got on like a charm. However I think we both instinctively knew we wouldn't be best of friends again as we both changed so much it wouldn't fit. However I do hope we do regularly catch up in future, I guess it's my turn to "set it up" next time which I hope I will do after christmas.

Yeah.. kinda really hurt me because we were the bestest friends.. like brother and sister.. we spent all day together, literally because our mums were also friends. So we spent time in nursery/school and all day after school with her for most of my life, I then moved to England for 8 years and when I came back, she wasnt even really bothered if she saw me or not, I mean we obv wouldnt of been the bestest friends again, cos we have moved on and it is like 8 years later, we have different lives, different friends, different countries but she didnt even bother, which really hurt. But I got over it the next day and tbh, she was the one missing out, so **** her.
