Help with merlins crystal

hi ive got to the end of mearlins crystal where u need to go into the room with the orange thing on the wall but 1 problem...
i cant get in because the door wont open but i dnt know y becayuse ive got excalabar, lit black candle and the bat bones on me but the door still wont open.

can anyone help or give a map or something because ime not shure ime going into the correct room and can u help asap because this is :rude: me off :@

It's not actually a room - it's outside the castle (North-East I believe)
I did this quest yesterday so I could do Holy Grail, and it took me ages to find it! (because I thought it was inside)
