I just bought a Microsoft LifeCam VX-800 (yes, its Micro$oft, but my VX-3000 is fantastic quality)

    Minimum specs say P4 @ 3GHz and 1GB RAM
    FOR A WEBCAM? Seriously?

The bad news is, the machine its going on is a P4 Mobile 3.2GHz and 512MB RAM.

Will it still run? Gonna be used on XP, for MSN video calls.

    Well I assume it's HD so P4 @ 3GHz sounds about right.

Not sure about the RAM though.

    It's a VGA webcam.
    Not HD.

I just hope it works, as it's my dad's Christmas present and it took a hell of a lot of convincing to make them get this webcam. For it not to work after all that will make me feel like an absolute arse.
