I keep getting that and i have the correct username, password, and database name in the config and i have it correct in cpanel??

Have you installed your forum correctly?
Becuase it is clear that you have a mySQL database error!
And yeah, please please give us a link and some info about your forum.

Error description: No Database Selected

Wich means quite oviosly u havent selected a real database, in your conf_global etc, make sure the db u want exsist and u have its name right etc
