I think notifications need to stand out more. I know they are at the top of the page, but I always find myself scrolling past them not reading a word they say. I think they need colours which stand out more from the background, plus the text is really dull on them. Anyone else always find themselves ignoring these?

What skin are you using? I think they stand out well enough on the xmas skin anyway.

If you want PM notifications to stand out more then select the option for a pop-up to appear when you get one, some people quite like them being subtle however I don't think they are that subtle really.

I'm using the christmas skin :/ I think they look really bland and blend in with the background :/

OOOOH. The notices, well I do have a set little procedure for how I personally like them however recently the standard of notices have slipped. They don't look as bad on the Christmas skin because of the little exclamation mark image however in my opinion all notices should contain an image matching the theme of the notice and the text should be varied in size, but not so much colour as that can look tacky.

I think they stand out quite well on the Christmas skin but I suppose they do look a little plain. I'll make sure that notices have a nice little image from now on to make them stand out a little more.

Tbf to forum management/whoever posted the current notice, when I asked for it, I didn't really do much formatting with it or provide an image.
Personally, I read every notice even if I'm not interested in the topic as even without formatting, it's still in a very open space that unless I clicked the X, my eyes automatically can't help looking at it every time I log on/go back to the forum index etc.

How can you miss big red notifications.. Oh my! The only suggestion i can think of is lots of pm's! Which would annoy people.

IMO, scrap the notices, stick them in the announcements forum, job done.
