    Loaded a new map and messed around for a bit, until I was greeted by this. Only about 20 mins in, so I don't have a bow and I can't go outside to get more wood.

    It's just standing there...

    Nah, it's a bug. If you put the door that way, you can hug the door and hit anything outside the door, including blocks and mobs.
