Why not take a little listen to BBC 1 now, they're playing all sorts of Dubstep and it may grow on you

    Yeah Getting slightly heavier now!

The thing is with Dubstep, it's decent to listen to at home but when you hear it in a club on a good system (most systems are rubbish, only a few are truly good), then you can really appreciate it as the music is made with tonnes of low frequencies which can't be appreciated on normal speakers.

Never the less, decent headphones are good / desktop speakers that have a small sub both sound fine as obviously the music is still "listenable" on both.
