    Default HxHD dying

The last 4-5 times I have gone to go into HxHD over the last 2 days it has been empty. Obviously I don't expect anyone to be in it at this time because of school/college etc. But I was just wondering why it doesn't get as many people visiting it any more.

Most of the time there is none or a lack of staff in there to.

I'd imagine the problem about it being inactive during the day is the fact that there aren't enough staff who have the daytime off, obviously hiring international staff must be the best way to get rid of this problem. Personally, every time I've visited the HxHD recently it's been fairly active with amounts of people in, and the people like to have a good chat so it's cooll

Joy of joys.. another HxHD Feedback thread where everyone will agree in order to bash the department. As for me,
    I couldn't disagree more.

HxHD has drastically improved in the past 6 months. Previously, it was struggling to get busy (in terms of staff and visitors) in the evenings, yet now.. there's always people in there talking. The HxHD Quizes make the room reach it's capacity, as does the Takeover held by the forum. I have noticed a consistent activity in staff lately, along with a consistent amount of visitors; new and old.

I think it's rather irrational to suggest that the whole of HxHD is "dying" because it's not busy at 2pm on a weekday..
So yeah, as someone who sits in HxHD most nights, I don't really think it's a cause for concern

It can still get quite full during peak times but I agree that the number of staff behind the desk seems to have decreased recently. It's very rare I see anyone behind there nowadays although as I'm not in there 24/7, I might just be missing them!

At this current point in time, there are many staff away due to schooling commitments. It's quite an important time for most of us and focusing on the helpdesk just isn't something that receives priority over school. Uk people are all revising and preparing for exams while people in Australia have only just started school again. I think that saying the helpdesk is dying at such a critical time is just shallow.

Even David (HotelUser) is on limited activity right now due to exams and there isn't much you can do about that.

Edit: Also, I'm not defending HxHD because I have a position there either.

Not many staff that can actually be in there at this time. It's like a blindspot. I'm going to bed right now, UK staff are at school (excluding the ones that are ill etc) and Americans (and Canadians!) are at school. It's horrid.

I wasn't talking so much about this moment in time. Most times I go in there (after UK schooling times), it is either empty or there is a very little amount of people in there.
