I'm browsing shoes for my work... are patent shoes wrong on men?

Do you mean patent leather? Like the shiny leather rather than a matte look? If so that's absolutely fine for men yeah, a lot of very nice formal shoes are patent leather. I'd definitely go for laces though rather than slip-ons or it could well look like a women's shoe

i know i was just... unsure 'cos I worked with this girl that had an obsession with patent shoes and I didn't wanna look like her .
I do like them but I don't wanna get ripped for wearing them!
