could you be with someone if they were racist?

i've been seeing this guy for a few weeks now, and well... he's quite racist. he says he isn't and it's all light hearted and he's joking - but i seriously don't think he is.
and he's really ******* horrible to disabled people.

it's really put me off him, which writing it out sounds normal - but could you ever be with someone who was really racist/offensive?

No I couldn't. I can't stand racism and therefore I would not be able to take it for more than 20 seconds.

um nope. i don't mind racist/sexist/cripple/religious jokes at all (infact i encourage them because i'm guilty of it myself) but when they have a genuine hatred for it then i'm definitely put off. kinda hard to differentiate between the two sometimes. anyway they'd need to get on with my friends and a few of my friends have a likening to black guys for some reason so it'd be a no....

exaaaactly. i don't mind racist jokes, to be honest i can't be a hypocrite because i find quite a lot of them hilarious. but joking is completely different, and there is a fine line - it took me a while to realise if he was joking or actually being serious.

and before everyone starts moaning about me liking racist jokes - whatever, i think gay jokes are hilarious too. if you don't laugh about it you'll be sour.
