Default New Scam? Maybe not.. Almost fell for it

Ok I have a GB and I needed change for it but i don't want to get the 49c change, i want the full 50c. and I know you can't find many people who would do that, they want to save their 1c. Well I went in to this room where a guy said he was giving change for a GB. So I started the trade and put in my GB and he put in 2 sacks and then 10 bronze. I clicked accept because he wouldn't click it first and then right before he clicked accept he took out a sack really fast and clicked accept. I counted over the money again like I always do to make sure I'm getting the right change and noticed the little 2 beside the sack was gone. So I canceled trade and the guy asked me why? I told him because he took away sack. He said no he didn't and traded me again doing the same thing. I canceled and told him no I wasn't stupid and he should put the sack back in. He immediately banned me.

I don't know if this is new or not, but the first time he did it I nearly fell for it. And he got mad at me for not being dumb enough to fall for it. Just thought I would warn you guys in case you didn't know, because I didn't, but I do now.

Quite an old scam, existed ever since habbo changed the rules of the trading box. Very annoying, people try to do it to me very regularly. Fell for it once when i was tired at night, lost 50c but at least i learned my lesson from it.

Glad to see you didn't fall for it though
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

Yeah its an old one, done with furni and coins alike.

Its taken over from the quick trade/swap item scam of the old once click 6 box for trading.

Well spotted! People do need to take more care when trading when they are checking over items etc. I am glad to see that you didn't fall for this! Thanks for making others aware

It's an old one yeah, quite smart tbh tho ^_^

Habbo should have something set up so if you're trading coins, it warns you if you're trading less coins than you're getting.

This is quite a common scam now, I personally noticed an increase in these since the merge. Anyway, at least you noticed in time and in future, always double check the trade before you confirm. That's why they introduced the need to confirm a trade .

    Not online very often

I have never had many coins before I actually had a job, because now I can buy my own, so I have never really gotten change before. I think that's why I never noticed it. So I know if I've been playing for this long and haven't noticed it maybe somebody else hasn't either.

I am so glad I didn't fall for it though, because I only buy coins about once a month, that would have been a lot taken out.
