Default Official middlemen for the RS section.

I saw a thread in the RS trading section asking for an OMM and so it got me thinking. Maybe there could be some habbox OMM. Where after meeting certain requirements and sending in a successfull application, there can be middlemen for RS trades that people know they can trust. I think this would boost activity in the RS trading section as people would feel more confident that they can trade safely.

As activity increases in the trading section habbox can get a name for itself as the best and safest place for rs to habbo/habbo to rs trades. This would also in turn increase activity/membership in the forum as a whole, as once they join habbox for rs trading they will more than likely begin to post in at least some other sections too.

    Thoughts on this?
Bonjour, la noirceur, mon vieil ami
    Je suis venu te reparler
    Car une vision piétinante doucement
A laissé ses graines lorsque je dormais
    Et la vision
Qui était plantée dans mon cerveau
    Demeure toujours
    Parmi le son du silence

Hmmm I believe there was an official trusted traders list and that some people on the list eventually abused that trust. I could be wrong as I wasn't around at the time. Habbox refuses to accept responsibility for anything that goes wrong between habbo-to-rs trade, rs-to-habbo trade etc and I think it'd be much safer if that remained the case.

EDIT: My answer would be no good after I saw the above comment I did think it was a good idea but obviously it isn't going to happen as Habbox does not take responsibility

I believe this has been suggested before and we shot the idea down as under no circumstance will Habbox become officially involved in the trading, trading is carried out at the users discretion and it is your own responsibility. The moment we get involved and there are issues the blame will fall to us and quite simply user to user trading is done at the users own risk, not Habbox's.

I could see many things going wrong with this tbh and as Oli said we can't be getting involved in trading, it's far too risky for Habbox.

vouches / that itrader thing is fine, along with anyone who wants to MM, official things make people think they're better. the last trusted list saw a few people who shouldn't be on there anyway. get on the trusted list, then scam, who's gunna believe the other person.

Very sensible post and right to the heart of the matter. I remember some doing safe trades, getting on list and then scamming. +rep

It was done before and a lot of people on that list scammed. I don't think it's a very good idea as habbox would get the blame as they made that person an official middleman and the whole idea is basically allowing scamming to happen.

If you are unsure of the person your trading with, organise a MM yourself, even if people havent posted in the 'trading section' offering MM'ing i know plenty of people who will do it, however bit of advice from me.

Should you be the seller/buyer and the person you are trading with brings in someone on msn (normally where the trade discussion will take place) Make sure the 'other person' who will be MM'ing states who they are in the conversation and make sure they PM you, with proof that way you know its not a randomer and you know how trusted they are

This was discussed before and everyone came to the conclusion that if the mm scams then it comes back to habbox. Anyway you should be trading at your own risk its not a hab-rs trade forum at the end of the day
