    Default mega help needed

right, some of you will say why am I posting on here. Well I've had a UV scan and a gp examination. Basically I get this pain, which can get quite bad, in my lower left kidney sort of area and doctors are stumped. I did have an infenction which is now gone after using antibiotics. So I'm asking, what could it be?

Oh wow, think I might actually have the same thing as you. Every couple of months or so I get the most absolutely unbearable pain in my stomach around the area of my right kidney. My mum said I should go to the doctors but I haven't really thought much about it. I had it a couple of months ago and I was in agony for hours and then my stomach is rather tender for a couple of days after. It could be a huge number of things but the internet is never specific and it tells me I have a million illnesses. Anyway... Neev is right, if your doctors are stumped I don't think anyone on here will have the faintest idea.

How long has it been hurting?
If its been less than 4 weeks I suggest taking strong painkillers and see if the pain subsides
If its more than 4 weeks then you can ask the doctor to make you a referral to the hospital to see a specialist who can give you a more indepth examination since gps are limited to how precise they can diagnose you with the equipment and notes they have access to.

The only thing I can think of is it could be Kidney Stones? I'm not a GP though
